Your Home in Aleppo: Beit Salahieh
Originally built in the early 19h century, the house was home to Aleppo’s most prosperous merchant family, the Salahieh’s, until 1950. In 2007, the property was acquired by the Bilad al Sham Hotel Group whose owners are descendants of the Salahieh family. Their desire was to restore the heritage of the ‘House of Salahieh’ once more for all to enjoy.
The family have engaged the same prestigious French team who renovated Beit Salahieh‘s sister hotel, The Mansouriya Palace, to resurrect the building and let its glorious heritage shine through. They include the acclaimed architect Anne Judet, Parisienne interior designer Catherine Chasset Le Chevallier and project managers and architects Adli Qudsi and Thierry Grandin. The landscaping of the roof terraces, internal courtyards and garden were the work of renowned international landscape designer Randle Siddeley, The Lord Kenilworth, whose brief was to recreate the layers of a typical Syrian oasis. |
